Learn how easy Colorsilk is to use

ColorSilk® makes it easy to achieve the look you want, whether you're coloring your hair for the first time or re-coloring it.

Below is an overview of the steps to successful haircoloring. Make sure to read all instructions included within your Colorsilk kit before coloring, including the allergy and color preview test.

Select your shade.

Haircolor results depend upon your starting haircolor shade (the color you see when you look in the mirror). After identifying your starting shade, use our Shade Recommender for expert advice selecting the shade for your best look.

Mix.

Mix the colorant with the developer and shake.

Apply.

Apply the color to your hair in even strokes starting from the front and working to the back of your head. Refer to the directions in your kit for more information on sectioning hair.

Time And Rinse.

Leave coloring on your hair for 25 minutes if its your first time coloring. If you're re-coloring your hair, leave color on root area for 20 minutes. Then work remaining mixture through hair and leave on for an additional 5 minutes.

Condition.

Condition with ColorSilk After Color Conditioner.
